chaos.....

well, in the past month since my last post a lot has happened. Bobby returned home, 1 all night ER visit, 1 evening call to poison control, 1 black eye, 2 almost concussions due to a tipped chair, 1 dog fight, several fights with the neighbor boy, 1 ultrasound, 11 pounds gained, and 5 minutes in the church nursery. so we have been a bit busy. everyone is fine.
the first night that bobby was home, levi stepped on something in the dining room. after trying to get it out, we decided it was too big and too deep so we took him to the ER. we got there at 8 and got home around 5. it was a long night. well, then a few evenings later, we were playing and levi said he was going on a trip and went into the other room. well, after a moment of silence, he started screaming something horrible. we ran into the mud room and he had pushed the lock up on the laundry room, somehow got the fabric softener off the dryer, carried it to the step in the mudroom, opened it, and dumped it out. as he was crying, his breath smelled "spring fresh". well, even though i have full confidence in my non-toxic melaleuca product, i still called poison control. i was told just to give him something to drink and he would be fine. well, needless to say, he is fine and my entire house still smells spring fresh. last week we were playing at our neighbor's house on her swing set. well, levi has mastered the stairs to get to the slide so i just let him go. well, he fell and hit his brow bone on the step. by the time i took the three steps to get to him, his eye was so swelled, he looked like rocky balboa...... if he could have said it he would have said, "cut me mickey"...... then just as any other normal day, levi pushed his chair away from the table and tipped it over twice. he is fine, he will do it again, it was not the first time he did it.
so yes i went to the dr. and had an ultrasound. and yes, i was correct. we are having a girl. we are getting use to the idea. obviously we are very happy and excited. she looked perfect and healthy. everything looks great and really that is all we can ask for. levi is very excited and already thinks his little sister will have green eyes and brown hair. she will arrive on the 29 of december. our little tax deduction... thanks to a c-section. we are starting to get her bedroom ready and trying to decide on decorations. we are thinking butterflies... thanks mommy. this way it will be nice for a little girl but not too girly.
so that has been the last month in looneyville. never a dull moment. at least we have bobby home for another month. he will be doing a bridge beginning monday. it will be in charleston so he will not have to be away. BUT... it is in a super dangerous part of town so if you think of it, say a prayer for him and the team.
until..........
